Arjun Rampal Urges Government To Stop The Liquor Shops Immediately; Shares Video And Says, 'They Deserve A Thrashing, Not Drinking’
It’s been more than a month that people across the country are under house arrest and can leave the house only if it is urgent. Since then people were following suit while maintaining social distance with each other. However, social distancing, quarantine, lockdown laws were all broken and it went into the vain when the government opened the gates of liquor shops across the country while welcoming a huge crowd. As per the government order, only standalone shops will be allowed to sell liquor except for malls or liquor shops in shopping complexes.

This has prompted people to throng liquor shops in huge numbers, flouting all social distancing norms. With so much chaos outside every liquor shop which by the way is swamped with people, Arjun Rampal reacted to it and thinks that the guys ‘deserve a thrashing, not drinking.’ The Rock On actor took to his Instagram feed and shared a video of people acting like maniacs outside the liquor shops while police are going out of their way to control the crowd. Even though they all had their face mask on, social distancing was so not maintained by the people.

While sharing the video, he wrote, “Please stop this. Outside liquor stores, as they have been opened. I urge the government to please stop this immediately. This is absolute chaos and there is no level of discipline being maintained or any kind of social distancing. These guys deserve a thrashing, not drinking. #badmove #stopliquormenace”

Yesterday, Malaika Arora too shared an Instagram story regarding the liquor shops re-open. The actress expressed her angst and questioned the government about the need for opening the liquor stores amidst the lockdown.
